Does your club qualify for “GOLD CLASS” rates?

We would like to offer substantial premium reductions to all those clubs / instructors that meet our minimum accreditation and risk management requirements. Those that meet these requirements will qualify for our “GOLD CLASS” insurance rates.

GOLD CLASS

This is our ‘First-Class’ risk category. The following compulsory conditions to apply (in addition to standard policy conditions):-

1. All instructors must be qualified Black Belt instructors recognised by their industry association or have successfully completed an NCAS recognized Level 1 Coaching Certificate (or higher)

2. The club must have developed and implemented a ‘Risk Management Plan’ for each situation.

3. All senior instructors must have attained a St. John Ambulance (or equivalent) Senior First-aid Certificate.

4. Each club situation must have a First Aid kit onsite at all times

5. ‘Register of Injuries’ to be kept at each situation

6. ‘Staff Qualifications Folder’ to be kept updated for all instructors

7. ‘Student Induction Folder’ to be kept up to date for all new students

8. An ‘Attendance Folder’ to be maintained for each and every training session

IMPORTANT:

A fully completed and signed Risk Assessment Audit Declaration must be submitted to insurer before acceptance to “GOLD CLASS” will be granted.

GENERAL CLASS

Those clubs / instructors who do not meet the qualification and procedure requirements of the “Gold Class” will be subject to the “GENERAL CLASS” premium rates

PLAYER PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Player personal accident insurance is an insurance that covers each individual player / student of your club. Whilst NOT compulsory, we do strongly recommend that all clubs insure their students for Player Personal Accident Insurance, as it provides insurance for most training related injuries, whereas your Public Liability will only cover injuries caused by the club’s negligence. We believe that our policy is one of the best value PA covers in the market.

The main benefit of our Player Accident scheme to you is simplicity! We do NOT require a full up to date student listing to be provided. The only paperwork required is your one page proposal which must provide the total student numbers at the club (all students must be covered). Our insurer understands the nature of club memberships, that players leave and players join regularly, but overall student numbers within the club will often remain constant. The insurer only needs to be advised if student numbers increase significantly within the policy period.

It is the usual practice that the premium costs are passed on to each of your students as part of their annual membership to the club

SINGLE EVENT PUBLIC LIABILITY FOR TOURNAMENTS

In addition to our insurance package for clubs and instructors, we also offer Public Liability cover for single events, for promoters of Martial Arts Tournaments.

Premiums for our Tournament Insurance are based on the total number of attendees at the event, i.e. total of all spectators, competitors and officials attending the event.

NB
Completed proposal form and full payment MUST be received NO later than 3 working days prior to the event. Cover will be subject to underwriter acceptance of proposal form.
